From the Dutch words Quick Huizen — meaning Quick Houses — we deliver homes and spaces efficiently, without ever compromising on quality.
Quickhuizen Construction is a builder that focuses on renovations, thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces, and project management — proudly serving Saskatoon and its neighboring communities. Our name comes from the Dutch phrase Quick Huizen, meaning Quick Houses, which embodies our fundamental philosophy: completing projects swiftly while maximizing space efficiency and maintaining high quality standards.
We carry out this work with our own team. Each site is managed by a dedicated project manager, our tradespeople are aligned with our philosophy, and we provide weekly progress reports complete with photos so you are always informed about the status of your project. We offer fixed-price contracts, reliable timelines, and a two-year warranty on all workmanship we provide.
With over two decades of international construction experience and a deep understanding of the unique needs of Canadian homes, we have honed a process that prioritizes transparency, craftsmanship, and client satisfaction. From project management to renovations, every project is an opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to excellence and integrity.
We understand that a home is more than a structure — it is where life happens. That is why we are committed to delivering spaces that not only meet expectations, but exceed them. At Quickhuizen Construction, we do not just build houses — we build trust, comfort, and lasting value.
What sets Quickhuizen Construction apart is our hands-on approach and dedication to transparency. Every project is executed by our in-house team and trusted skilled tradespeople who share our commitment to professionalism, efficiency, and excellence. Each construction site is overseen by a dedicated project manager who ensures smooth coordination, quality control, timeline management, and clear communication throughout the entire process.
To keep clients fully informed, we provide regular progress updates accompanied by detailed photos and reports, allowing you to monitor every stage of your project with confidence and peace of mind. We believe communication is just as important as craftsmanship, and we strive to create a stress-free building experience through honesty, accountability, and responsiveness.
For Quickhuizen, that idea was born in 2016 — not in a boardroom, but among friends who believed something was missing in construction. Projects were taking too long. Costs were unclear. And too often, people felt left out of decisions about their own homes.
So they asked a different question: What if construction could be faster, fairer, and more honest?
But the name itself carries a deeper story. Years earlier, during his time in Groningen, Netherlands, Kay Oluwagbemigun experienced a different way of living and building. Surrounded by calm waterways, charming streets, and beautifully designed small homes along the Diepenring waters, he saw how efficiency and design could come together seamlessly. The houses were not just well-built — they were thoughtfully designed, practical, and delivered with a sense of simplicity and speed that felt natural.
Inspired by those moments, the name Quickhuizen — "Quick Houses" — was born. Not just as a reflection of speed, but as a philosophy shaped by experience: building homes that are efficient, purposeful, and deeply connected to how people live.
Years later, that philosophy crossed continents. In 2025, Kay brought Quickhuizen Construction to Canada, backed by over two decades of experience but more importantly, shaped by people. Different cultures, different lifestyles, and a deep understanding that no two homes, and no two clients, are ever the same.
For Kay, construction has never just been about buildings. It is about how people live inside them. About creating spaces where families grow, where comfort meets function, and where every detail reflects the life it is built for. That is why every project begins with listening — understanding not just what a client wants to build, but how they want to live.
And it is why honesty sits at the center of everything we do. We tell you what things truly cost. We guide you toward smarter decisions. And we stand behind our work — long after the project is complete.
Today, Quickhuizen Construction proudly serves Saskatoon and surrounding communities, delivering project management, renovations, and thoughtfully built spaces of all sizes. We may be growing, but we are intentional about staying grounded — building a close-knit team of designers, project managers, and skilled trades, all aligned with the same values. And through it all, Kay remains personally involved, ensuring that every project reflects the standard Quickhuizen was built on.
Because at the end of the day, this is not just our story. It is yours — the home you imagine, the space you need, and the trust you place in the people building it. And that is a responsibility we carry with pride.
Five things that shape every decision we make — from the first conversation to the final walk-through.
We prioritize efficient project delivery without ever cutting corners. A well-structured work program lets multiple scopes progress simultaneously.
Transparent, competitive pricing with no hidden surprises. Fixed-price contracts mean you know what something costs before we start — not after.
Open communication and integrity in every interaction. We tell you the truth about timelines, costs, and trade-offs — even when it is not the easy thing to say.
Attention to detail and craftsmanship that stands the test of time. Finishes that look as good on year ten as they did on day one.
We do things right — structurally, professionally, and ethically. From the framing you will never see to the trim you will live with every day.
Fixed-price contracts. No surprise change orders. We tell you what something costs before we start, not after.
We hire trades who diligently care about their work and deliver it in the fastest reasonable time. Our well-structured work program allows each scope to be achieved simultaneously.
Every detail of our building envelope is designed with energy models for Canadian winters — air-sealing, insulation, ventilation, and low-energy-consumption building.
The renovation we deliver this year is often the start of the addition we build five years from now. We design every client relationship to last decades.
Tell us about the project you have in mind — we will respond within one business day.
